At Centric HR we are committed to playing our role within the community and supporting local businesses and charities where possible. We have chosen Cherishers based in Rugeley, Staffordshire as our chosen charity for ongoing support.

‘Cherishers! Ltd’ founded in 2017, is run as a non–profit, innovative organisation that donates annually any profits generated to it’s Social Care programme which in turn reinvests back into the general wellbeing of the community / society in which it operates, offering various charitable activities and services.

Why Cherishers?

“Cherishers are the bridge to getting people back to work.”

There is a major crisis in the UK due to a lack of employment and social care. This sadly has a major effect on the elderly and most vulnerable within our society the most. Cherishers has been created to provide equal employment opportunities within the area for local people who are currently unemployed and have barriers to normal employment opportunities.

Among their team are members who have disabilities, working mom’s, pensioners and people getting back into work who have previously experienced barriers to traditional employment. By using their services, you are helping them invest in them and their future.

Cherishers provides domestic and commercial ironing and cleaning service for Rugeley and the surrounding area. Through the profits generated from these commercial activities Cherishers are able to provide free home assistance, Social Care community services to the elderly and societies most vulnerable members.

Through the profits generated from the commercial side of the business, they are empowered to pay their Social Carers to go out and meet the needs of the vulnerable elderly free of charge. They also use the profits generated to run free social events for the lonely in Rugeley and the surrounding area.

Cherishers regularly feed the homeless, lonely and vulnerable within the area through their open events and soup kitchen.

Cherishers are forward thinking

Cherishers is a forward thinking organisation that is always looking at ways in which they can improve their service and standards.

They believe that they are only as good as their workforce, so they ensure that their staff are constantly trained to the highest industry standards.

They are an equal opportunities employer which ensures that every employee has the ability to develop, gain new skills and qualifications within the organisation.

Cherishers offer flexible employment

As an equal opportunities employer they ensure that they provide flexible working hours for all of their members of staff.

Within their organisation they have staff members that have disabilities, working mom’s, pensioners and people that are getting back into employment who have previously experienced barriers to traditional employment. Cherishers work with their employees to see what role within the organisation best suits them and make them feel fulfilled.

Cherishers help the community

The main purpose for Cherishers was to provide employment opportunities to local people in the area and to offer free services to the most vulnerable within the local community.

They use the profits that they generate from the commercial activities of Ironing and Cleaning to provide free home care, free social open events, free soup kitchen and free community meet-up’s for the elderly and vulnerable within the area.
